Small Group Ministry at Trillim Web Page
Grow in your faith in a relaxed, supportive group of people with similar interestsEarly Christians met in small group gatherings in private homes. Today, the small group movement is re-energizing the faith journey for millions of Christians. Small group ministry serves three goals in our spiritual formation: Inward (personal spiritual growth), Outward (ministry to our congregation and the world) and Upward (praise/worship of God).
Small groups at Trillium may form around various activities of mutual interest, such as: book study, meditation, singing, bible study, visiting the sick, walking, sports, games, writing, cooking, sewing, wellness, support in life challenges and governance of the church.
- Regardless of their activities, all small groups include spiritual practices and prayer in the meeting.
- Small groups are lay led. Small group leaders are not theology experts but they will have training in leading small groups and will have support in their roles.
- Small groups are kept intentionally small . four to eight people. This helps relationships develop and allows for more personal spiritual growth.
- Small groups meet regularly (weekly/monthly) for a defined period of time. There is no obligation to make long term commitments.
- Small groups do not replace Sunday worship service.
- Small groups at Trillium operate according to our Core Values and Bedrock Beliefs.
If you have an idea for a small group, or other questions about small groups, contact Trilliums. Small Group Coordination Team Chairperson, Ruth Thompson. You may leave a message for her by calling Trillium Church at 519-653-6601.
